Fix for accidentally deleting a VHD with Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2
Thanks to a tweet from @MSManageability, I finally know how to prevent losing a VHD with VMM2008 R2. If you choose to delete a VHD from an existing VM it actually deletes it.
J. C Hornbeck pointed me to a hotfix (KB976246) which addresses this problem.

Support Blog for System Center Virtual Machine Manager
I’d like to call your attention to a newly released support blog for SCVMM2008. It is called SCVMM Callback by J.C. Hornbeck.

Full version of Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 available
The last time I looked there was only a Trial Version of Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2. It is now possible to download the full version of the product from TechNet Plus and MSDN Subcriber Downloads.
If you have previously installed the Trial Version, uninstall VMM2008 R2 with the Retain Data option and reinstall the software. [...]
